Common Dangers To Our Furry Friends

* Lillis- can cause kidney failure which could be deadly to your cat!! Place arrangements out of harms way

*Shamrocks- cause oxalate accumulation which can bind to other minerals in the body producing crystals that deposit in the kidneys and damage them. in milder cases increased salivation and vomiting may be all that you experience

*Chocolate- of all kinds can be dangerous, keep candy dishes at people level and out of animals reach

*Antifreeze- tastes good but as little as one teaspoon can be DEADLY TO A CAT!! And as little as 4 teaspoons can be DEADLY TO A 10 POUND DOG!!

*Liquid Potpourris-if eaten, rubbed on or spills can be damaging to the mouth, skin, and/or eyes

*Ice melting Products-can irritate the skin or mouth

*Rat or Mouse Baits- should be placed in areas inaccessible to your furry friends

*Keep all candy away from your pets. Chocolate can be toxic and any cellophane or Foil wrappers could cause intestinal obstruction . Make sure all festive decorations are also out of harms way

*Turkey contains tryptophan which can cause drowsiness. More importantly is the fact that most of us feel our pets need their own turkey dinner. Any abrupt change or addition to animals diet may lead to severe digestion upset

*Grapes and raisins can cause Kidney failure

*Electrical Cords- Carry the risk of electrocution. Cover or hide extension cords and electrical cords

*Batteries- Contain corrosives. Be careful! No chewing!
